Although organic certification is appreciated, there are a great number of local growers and animal raisers who not only adhere to standards required for certification, but exceed them; however, they are not certified. We care more about the final product than the certification, and therefore, we may source from farms which are not certified organic but practice organic farming methods. Additionally, we buy local to reduce our carbon footprint and to support food in season -- the freshest, best–tasting food available. |
